Connection basics

Know what
you’re connecting.

MCP—Model Context Protocol—is a way for compatible AI applications to discover and use tools provided by another system.

Three pieces of a connection

Your AI application is the client. An MCP service provides tools. Your provider account determines which underlying resources and actions you can authorize.

Direct connections and the hub

Individual services are being designed for direct use. The optional Robinson’s Toolkit Hub provides another route for compatible services, without taking ownership of their provider credentials or permissions.

Use the instructions for the specific product

Connection addresses, sign-in steps, permissions and supported clients vary by service. Follow a product’s published setup guide rather than guessing a connection URL from the company’s domain.

What to expect here next

As tools become ready for broader access, this site will provide their availability, tested setup instructions, permission requirements and disconnect guidance. Public onboarding is not available yet.
